Kennedy was a shock to the who world. He traveled many parts of the world and ** loved by the majority and hated by the min ority Had he been given a chance to accomplish his endeavor he so earnestly preached, what a Joy ous achievement H would have reformed of their vices. Now to his third paragraph, surely you know that Dr. Bunche attacked Adam Powell and Mal colm X first and in a peculiar place (Mississippi). Negroes don’t lynch, burn bomb, buy. and sell humans, kidnap, deprive citiz en* (to called) of civil rights, of jobs, homes or freedom, or steal on the level that has been per petrated against them. What does Malcolm or any other Negro owe white people except the worst kind of degra dation the world has ever known. Maybe whites did something for Dr. Bunche and Jackie, since they talk like white liberals. They bought them with a Job. Dr. Bunche has remained very silent on racial matters until very recently. Perhaps Ins dip lomatic status has something to do with it, I don’t know. Ac cording to Jackie's statement his diplomatic status prevents him from speaking out because he represents the United States, al though officially the United States representative, Stevenson, speaks out more than Bunche What powerful statements did Dr. Bunche make that was not said more strongly by everyone else who considers himself hu man? What principle was In volved In going to a funeral? I am glad that Dr. Bunche has taken time to have many per sona) conversations with Jackie and give him advice, that ex plains his column.
