Enjoying it all on the boat were Evelyn Hunt and Claudine Gaynor of New Rochelle . . . Those Boyd sisters — Dorothy Boyd Paige and Margaret Boyd Delany—will leave for Europe by boat in early July to spend the Summer browsing around over there . . . The Jonathan Eliases (Leola) found a good excuse to hit the trail for a holiday in Washington, D.C. last week. ’Twas to take daughter Ligia and niece Neyda Giscombe visiting them from the Republic of Panama there “to see the Nation’s Capital” . . . The Circle and Chain Club’s scheduled trip to Nas­ sau and Bermuda on the Brittany in July had to be changed to the S.S. Independence and to Bermuda only. Reason? The Brittany was burned in Greece on April 9 . . . DINNER OF THE YEAR . . . When Rose Aumaitre took the Joseph Dargans (Eloise) home with her from Vassal Thomas’ cocktail party last Sunday she served both roast suckling pig and lobsters for dinner!
