Ed Fisher Back With Ballantine Edwin B. Fisher resigned as business manager of the New York Yankees to rejoin P. Bal­ lantine & Sons in Newark, N.J., as head of its public relations department. The announcement, was made jointly by Carl W Baden hausen, Ballantine pres­ ident and Dan Topping, co-ownei of the Yankees. .Fisher spent four and a hah years as a Ballantine executive before joining the Yankee or­ ganization in 1961. He is re­ placing John Scully who joined the New York Bell Telephone Co. Fisher lives 'at 211 Forest Dr., Hillsdale. Among the school’s offering him scholarships are Michigan State, Manhattan College, Oklahoma and Tennessee State. Power's coach, Jack Donohue said: “Alcindor, who has 89 aca­ demic average, is taking his pub­ licity in stride. ‘El Cid* as he is called by his teammates, is a good all around man oh the court. He shoots well, has a var- lty of shots and is also a good defensive player”. “Although he is not a scorer like Wilt Chamberlain who av­ erages 474 points a game”, Don­ ohue continued, “be has the po­ tentials.
