Witnesses Will Stress World Work
The presiding minister of the
Upper Harlem Congregation of
Jehovah's Witnesses said ^this
week the program at the rctini-
n»s group's forthcoming inter
national convention will stress
unity of the, movement world
wide.
George W. Richardson, 465 W.
152nd St., said the first conven
tion opens at County Stadium in
Milwaukee, Wis., June 30 to July
7. The second assembly will con
vene at Yankee Stadium ip New
York, July 7-14. A total of 22
other conventions are scheduled
for the U. S., Europe, the Mid
east, Asia. Australia and the .Is-
lanls of the Pacific.

The gathering at the Stadium
is expected to draw 125,000 dele
gates from the Eastern United
States, South and Central Amer
ica, Canada and the Caribbean.
The Upper Harlem Congregation
is sending a record number of
delegates to the convention.

and unity In a troubled and dis
turbed world. This assembly Is
unique because of convening In
24 cities In a 10-week period. This
means that people of all races,
kindreds and tongues will be

Richards pleaded guilty last
month to attempted extortion of

a bullet in his pocket and threat
ening him with murder If he did
not give him $10,000. Police of
the 32nd Squad caught Richards
through a trap they set as Walk
er was about to give him the
money in May, 1962.
