Five young women in Brook­ lyn and Queens have banded together their talents to form a club called. Do Mode Inter­ nationals. aimed primarily .at stimulating the designing and modeling talents of Negroes. The five women -r- three de­ signers and two cosmetologists — are Mrs. Moselle Reid, di­ rector. The “yacht", of course, was the usual Circle Line chartered steamer. The main stay of the boatride was a well arranged fashion show which presented the work of Gladys Ross, formerly of Fashion Institute, Dolores Allen, trained at Pratt Institute, and Esther Wilson also of Pratt. Top models of the show were Arlene Speller and Zelly Bouie; visiting models were Dee Simmons and Marva Revis, Mias Beaux Arts of 1962 and 1963 respectively. Last Sunday. Hamilton Preparations are now under way to make the annual Youth Carnival the biggest and best gain carnival to be held at Fort Hamilton Military Reservation, Brooklyn, N. Y.
