Adam Clay­ ton Powell. Farmer’s appearance at Pow­ ell’s church, although scheduled earlier this summer as part of a weekly forum series on the present racial crisis, was seen as a strong indication that he does not Intend to oppose Pow­ ell for Congress next year as Harlem Democratic leader J.
