Mrs. Mays Gets Surprise Birthday Party By Hubby More than fifty persons attend ,, ed the gala surprise birthday par ty last Saturday afternoon by Jo­ seph Mays honoring his wife, sing­ er - milliner Rowena at the home ot Mr. and Mrs Harry Holland in Teaneck, N- J- Organist - singer, Juanita Wal­ ler, Wendy Waller. Clifford Jones, baritone and Sarah Hall, sopra­ no, presented an appropriate mu­ sical program. Mrs. Mays, whose “Star Dust" hat show is scheduled for Sept ember 22 at the Americana Hot?l. was presented a charm bracelet with a tiny gold hat by her mod­ els. Milling, daush-i ter of Frank E Milling, was] married recently to Dr. Joseph L. Belle in St. Marks Methodist Church, New York City. The bridegroom is the son of Mrs. E. M. Belle and the late Lofton Belle of Miami. Florida. The bride given in marriage by her father wore a gown <*f white peau de soie appliqued with rosepoint lace with a short veil ending above the shoulders and carried a cascade of white roses. Mrs. Celester Clarke of Wash­ ington. D.C. was matron of honor. She wore a short dress of rose peau de soie and carried a bou­ quet of pink roses. St. Louis Maid of Honor Miss Relva Bransford of S t. Louts, Missouri was maid of hon­ or who wore a short dress of aqua peau de soir and carried a bouquet of red roses. Mrs. Belle received her Mas­ ter of Arts degree from Teach­ ers College, Columbia University She has since done graduate work leading toward certification for the Doctor of Education degree in Teacher Education.
