This will be Miss Jackson's first concert in Queens in a long time , The concert is being produced by the Rev. George B Lockwood of the People's Community Church of Long Island City and a special group of citizens who are trying |to raise enough money to build a Recreational Center, adjacent to the church, for young children. Joe Bostic, famous gospel disc jockey, will be the master of cere­ monies of the occasion Night Clubs amusements, theater Don McKayle At Academy Dancer-choreographer Don­ ald McKayle and his Dance Com­ pany will be presented by the Brooklyn Ballet Association at the Brooklyn Academy of Music, 30 Lafayette Avenue, at 3 p m. Sunday. October 20. This is part of the bid that the Academy of Music is currently making to attract more of the boroites to cultural performances at the famous old landmark. Produced by Normand Maxon, the performance will feature four main dances — Nocturne, a re­ vised version of Blood of The Land), Rainbow ‘Round My Shoulder, and Games. “Rainbow" is a recreation of Mr. Kayle's famous work of toil and sorrow on a chain gang for which he received great critical reviews.
