of twelve domicile cities on
United's system. Including San
Francisco, New York, Seattle, Los
Angeles, Chicago, Miami and
United expects to add 1,000
girls to its stewardess roster dur
ing 1963 in order to maintain a
"skygirl” complement of at least
2,400 stewardesses — a far cry
from the staff of fourteen girls
who inaugurated stewardess ser
vice on United — and for the in
dustry — 32 years ago.

The 21-man United Nations
Congo Advisory Committee this j
week indicated its accord with(

tary General U. Thant who feels it
is about time the 7,000U.N.forces
be withdr^vn and.the Congolese
take over the security job.
Since the extension request has
the support of the Western pow
ers, Mt. Thant is expected to re
fer the matter to the Security
Council along with his recom
mendation to determine what ac
tion will be finally taken on the
question of Congolese security.
